Tammy Dewar, PhD, CTDP, ORSC

I grew up on a farm in Alberta, Canada and bring a down to earth, entrepreneurial and hopeful attitude to my teaching, coaching and consulting. Having been the only one in my large extended family of hundreds to complete a PhD (in adult learning), I encourage and challenge people to transcend whatever limitations they may think they have.

I have lived in many cities in Canada, the US and the UK, but now call Victoria, Canada home, and am committed to living a balanced and sustainable life with my husband and business partner, Dave Whittington. Together, we run Calliope Learning (www.calliopelearning.com), a consulting company that specializes in leadership development and coaching.

There are a few assumptions I make about my work as a coach:

• People are resourceful and creative. I help them bring more of that to their lives.
• People have all the answers to whatever challenges they face – I help to bring it out of them.
• People can achieve greatness when they can build on their strengths and energy. I help people find that.
